Can-Am: 50th Anniversary

The cover and chapter opener are based off the Can-Am race series posters from the 1960s & '70s. Faceout Studio was contracted to do the initial cover design, however at press time I had to go in and convert it to print with only cyan, black, and two fluorescent PANTONE inks—neon pink and yellow—to replace the standard magenta and yellow inks.

Later, a special edition of the book was published and placed in a case that used some of the interior, retro graphics and an aged cotton paper texture.

I designed the interior pages to really celebrate the unique photography, while still carrying the retro 1960s and '70s feel through out the book. It must have gone over well since Sports Car Market magazine gave me a personal shout out in their book review.
